Understandably, Australia does not make such a big deal about it, I think what is hard for americans and people living in america.. Is that everyday, You are all reminded of the death of your loved ones, or 9-11 gets reffered to on the news,
I feel anger for you, I feel anger that Osama Bin As*hole, has basiccally gotten away with it, They're not after him anymore, Who does the usa think they're fooling, It's been five years, and they have nothing on him... They could've and should've caught him years and years ago.. Its all about politics..
I wish peace for all of you in America that has lost a loved one..
Or just feels a sense of loss..
Unfortuantley here in Australia, i don't think 9-11 will get that much airtime, probally equivelant to Steve irwin, & peter brock.. =(

Tragic. Remember, that event also included Flight 93 that crashed in a field, and the plane that took innocent lives in the Pentagon (and the poor souls who died on that plane that hit it). Devastating for the victims who died and the loved ones left behind. Frightening knowing terrorists are not just blowing up people and structures for attention, but are willing to die for their midguided causes/religious beliefs. How can we ever feel safe and think it won't happen again? As September 11 draws near, my thoughts are on the innocent victims and the family members left behind. Honestly, how can any of us be the same since September 11, 2001?

My husband was ironically late for work that day and survived it. I cannot believe it has even ever happened. i remember falling to the floor with my 9 month old son in my arms as I watched the second plane hit HIS buiding and thinking, "Where's Angela and Joe?" I recall my phone ringing because all our raelatives thought he went to work. My dad walking in my house to console me, not knowing I wasn't a widow. My husband's new birthday is 9/11. It is the beginning of a new life. That's how I feel about the anniversary.

I think people need to get over it. I cant stand the thought of a tragedy Monday this week. Like every year they will show the same awful clips as they do every year. It is just a attempt to make people miserable to boost ratings. Just like the two movies about it "United 97", and the new one "9-11" it is sick people look to profit from tragedy.

I feel less safe than ever before but we must keep on living our lives. It could be worse, we could be living in Lebanon or Iraq or Afghanistan.

I feel taht today we still need to be on our guard. As soon as we let up our guard is when we get attacked again. That's how it always has been and always will, unfortinetly.
