I need to know how to make a drawer move in and out smoothly?

It's a wooden drawer.

If it has a metal slide on the bottom you can use a candle and rub it across it, believe me it's a cheap way to get it to work smooth.

Bar soap or a candle rubbed on the runners. Hammer a thumbtack on the front of the runner in the chest. The thumbtack keeps the drawer from sticking.

Wooden drawers need parafin wax which is candle wax.Soap will cause the wood to swell and make it worse because it's water based.

The old remedy is to rub a bar of soap on the surfaces that slide against each other. If that doesn't work, you can buy a silicone spray at a hardware store. Spray it on the runners, but DON'T let it get on a floor because it's very slippery even when dry.

try taking a bar of soap and rubbing down the sides of the drawer a couple of times this should do the trick

You may be able to find little nylon buttons with either adhesive backings or little brads (nails) which you can put down where the drawer's rails ride.  If not, try metal-headed thumbtacks as bearings.

if the drawer is not out of alignment,, you can use most any lubricant,, i prefer, teflon oil that dries to a powder or just use graphite powder!!

Little bit of candle wax or baby powder....maybe even cornstarch.
