Well it is obviously illegal, but pleanty of people do it. It's actually immoral too, in my opinion. But sometimes I burn CDs, even though I consider myself to be a fairly moral person. So I guess I'm a hypocrite, along with about 80% of America. But still...how the hell is a music fanatic like me supposed to pay for CDs on a part time minimum wage salary?!

Ok you can't believe something is illegal. It either is or isn't. If you're asking if we think it's ethical.. I'd say yes. As long as you aren't intending to make money off of the CDs (which would be illegal). I don't see the big deal.

Well, I wouldn't recommend burning them in your kitchen trash can, but if you live in the country douse those suckers with lighter fluid and toast some marshmallows. And yes, I do know what your question was asking, I just wanted to say something different than everyone else.

As backups to ones that you already own. No.

It IS illegal, not immoral, in my opinion, to burn something that you could not possible buy or afford to buy or never use under normal circumstances.

Old AbandoneWare is probably okay to burn, being that nobody owns that stuff.

I know that it's not illegal in my country to burn what you stated in your question.

Therefore, how can i believe when i have the facts?

If you copy something for free instead of buy it, then you reduce the amount of money that goes to the creator(s). If everybody does that there will be no incentive to spend money on creating new stuff - and that will make for a very dull world. ---simplistic answer---
