I would suggest any department store that has a good juniors department. The style isn't childish, yet the pants aren't old-lady cut. If you have an adult figure, you will probably have to go up a size on the shirts though because they're usually made very tight. Stores like Kohl's and Sears offer pretty good juniors departments. Good luck.

The thrift stores are the best. You can get 20 items for $60 or so. Make sure you wash them well.
I just bought a $500 coat for $25 there
