I do sleep regularly on my own in a house that seems to be haunted. Some strange (but never dangerous) stuff has happened here, sometimes in broad daylight. A bathroom mirror has been taken down from the wall and placed in the bathtub, a diagonal distance of about four feet - it would not have fallen sideways, and if it had fallen at all, it would have broken. A large, heavy glass fruit bowl (empty, sitting in the middle of a table) has split down the middle, in full view. And there are occasional heavy, bonking sounds in a sealed attic area.

The house used to be my grandmother's; she left it to me. All the disturbances occurred when there was some form of tension of stress going on. My housemate and I theorized quite seriously that the cause was Grandma, disapproving of the fuss and showing her disapproval...and living by the laws of family love and malice, being willing to scare us but not hurt us. Last May my housemate bought his own house two doors down, and Grandma-or-Whatever seemed very upset when he and his furniture relocated slightly...there was an intensification of attic noises and the first sense of malice I'd had from her/it. I'd just bought my supplies to do some white witchcraft to make her/it go away when she/it calmed down, like a tantruming child who seeks a real spanking coming. And it's been calm ever since. Go figure....

I do not know where are you living but I suppose that place is in USA. Far EAST have many folk story about this topic. Especially in suburb, people usually telling about that and keep their fear. Someone always scare of ghost and can not go out alone at night because of their horribleness.
In my opinion I do not believe being of ghost. You can ask " why?". In fact, I 've never seen a ghost. I always keep hoping that I could have a chance to see it. If I know a haunted house and have a chance to sleep in. I sure that It would be very exciting

I'd love to say that I would, and I bet a lot of people are going to say that they would in response to this question. In a well lit area among friends, or in a non-haunted house it's easy to give that a big yes and call someone else stupid for being apprehensive. When you're there, though, things can get creepy fast. And for all you people who don't believe in ghosts, you're lucky. Because there ARE such things. BOO!

I would rather check out a suspected haunted house on my own, not with someone who told me about it and might be trying to trick me. But the one time I had heard a road was haunted, I never did go check it out.

Done it...my parents house is haunted.

My best friend growing up had a haunted house, I refused to go inside of it by myself, so did just about everyone else...including the very large football player next door that they asked to feed the cat, he always made someone come with him.

If I felt comfortable there, I'm like a cat sometimes, I get nervous in any strange place. Just meeting with a ghost wouldn't scare me though(I saw "something" strange once). I trust God, and know he wouldn't let anything evil harm me:)
