The fastest motorcycles are the Japanese superbikes. However, the Japanese manufacturers have a "gentleman's" agreement to limit the top speed to 300km/h, or 186 mph. This is an artificial limitation and can be defeated with the right reprogramming.

If you are looking for the fastest in terms of acceleration, I believe the new Kawasaki ZX-14 has de-throned the venerable Suzuki Hayabusa.

Sportbikes have become so powerful that even a 600cc bike like the Yamaha R6 will go faster than you can drive it. The Yamaha R1 (1000cc) makes the R6 seem slow. I have both of these bikes and they are incredibly fast. Any of the Japanese all have sportbikes in these sizes - Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki. They are all within a few hundreths of a second of each other in the quarter mile. Just pick the one that you think looks best - you simply can't go wrong.

Let see, I'd say the Kawaski ZX 14, I believe it has over taken the Hayabusa 1300R made by Suzuski. Now for a pro gas drag bike, that a friend of mine runs, How does 0-100+ in under a second sound, Fast enough?

How old are you? Don't ya know any of them will go fast enough to get ya killed? Any big bike can be modified to go 200+ mph. You been watching too many movies from Hollywood? A motorcycle is beast all its own. They are nothing like a bicycle or a small dirt bike Remember that you had to crawl before ya walked

Kawasaki ZX-14. Read it in a recent magazine. Want to buy an extremely quick motorcycle without all that weight, get the Senna bike.

Fasted? Since you dont know that makes you a rookie, and you obviously need the fastest bike when you have zero skill. Makes all sorts of sense.
