I WOULD have bought one when they came out, but the H/P and performance was still crappy. GM was still resisting building serious performance vehicles at that time, ever since about '73, the poor emissions devices and the policy of not building "dangerous" cars
meant the Z28 and IROC only looked like fast cars.

Totally sick and couldn't outrun Toyotas.

owned an 87 iroc-z with a 5.7L. TPI. the t-tops always leaked. it was fast but each time you punched it, you would have to replace the tranny mount cause it would break.

88 IROC-Z 5.7 TPI LT1. White, no T-Tops. Had it from 95-98. Fun.

Not me, wish I had, though. I've owned a '75 Camaro (straight 6), '73 candy apple red Camaro (baddazz), '80 Z28 (not bad), and '88 red Camaro with V6 (pretty but slow).

My boyfriend in 1980 did. Even had the Raccaro (sp) seats.
