Im assuming you mean hard drive space, which yes, as far as newer more complex games are concerned, they do require a bit of space to store themselves, if you do a full isntall. Expect a gigabyte or more of your precious hard drive space to be used from one new game. Now if you're talking system ram the average new game should need about 512mb of ram

Yes, they take up a lot of memory. Look at the system requirements on the game package to see if your computer can handle any games you install on your computer.

Yes. They have a nasty habit of absorbing a lot of it. Especially graphic memory!
