This may sound weird but it works.
Stress tips:
-Choose somthing to think about when your under stress, like the snow is soft and the sky is blue.Think about it often and you will calm down.
-Breath in and out deeply regulaly and you will find yourself much more calm.
-eat healthy nutrition filled food
-P.e think of it as a time to relax but still work on it and don't cheek out.
-In class if something is boring and your going to sleep ask a quesation even if you kinow the answer. This will keep you awake.
- congratulate yourself often and like'ok if i finish my maths homework i can get some choclate and sleep.
-set an alarm in the morning so yoyu get in a routine.
-IF your puzzled don't ask that particular teacher ask anothewr one, parents or friends.
-Don't think you can slack off just cause your a top kid.
Hope this helps you. Good luck!

If you are falling asleep in class, you need more sleep. At least 8 hours a night, more would be even better. If it's true what your teacher says about how bright you are, then it's possible that this teacher is assigning too much homework per night. Someone needs to talk to this teacher such as your parents. But if you are tired from lack of sleep, then you are probably not efficient and rested enough to get the homework done in a timely manner, such as while in class instead of sleeping, then finishing it at home.

Trust Me...some people are even in wortser situations than you are,in other words...I'm in 8th grade and my 14 year old brother doesn't know how to read or write very well so I have to help him on his 9th grade homework! Then my 12 years old and 8 year old nephew come to the house and stay there for like mon-thur and sleep in my room!!!And I have to help them with their homework and I have to go to P.E and bust my Butt up and run 12 laps in the gym and field...So I suggest If you do your homework late start to do it exactly when you get home because that's the best advice I can give you.....An angel....GOODLUCK

help with???what?...if it's how to spend less time on homework, try to use your time wisely use ur study halls (don't talk), and when you get home from school don't go on AIM, then watch some t.v, get RIGHT to your homework and take a break after 45 minutes then go online for 15-20 minutes, then go back to homework, use your time wisely thats what i do, and i get great grades and i'm not up till midnight (i'm in 8th grade too, 9th grade math)

what are you doing while you're doing homework? are you watching tv, talking on the phone, listening to music, on the internet, etc.? do you get easily distracted while doing homework? do you have alot of extracurriular activities like sports or volunteering? if so, do you think you could cut back on one of those activities to focus more on school? what time do you start doing homework?

set aside 2-3 hours per day to doing homework. work on it in 20-30 minute chunks with a 5-15 minute break after each chunk. set reasonable goals of what you want to have accomplished by a certain time. if you meet your goal, reward yourself with tv, phone, computer, etc. for 10-15 minutes or longer on the weekends.

hope this helps

Please tell your parents how stressed out you're feeling. It sounds to me as if you are indeed very bright and are demanding a lot of yourself. I suggest asking your teacher to sit down with you and talk seriously about ways you can cope with the workload. (Is your school very competitive?) Also, ask a school counselor to talk with you and with the teacher; just be sure you don't sound as if you are blaming your teacher--there's no point in upsetting anyone.

Keep in mind that getting a B in an academically competitive school counts more than an A in a less competitive school--especially when it comes to high school placements.

Stop checking out Joe and Nick and worry more about time management, obviously you should not be getting so much homework that you are working until midnite and also as obvious is that your priorities are screwed up.

You have to prioritize, decide which homework is the most important that night and ONLY do that homework.
