Chloroseptic is a drug. You should not take any drugs while you are pregnant, without consulting your doctor first. There are ingredients in all drugs that could be harmful to the baby by passing through the placenta. You would be safer to have a cup of hot tea with honey and lemon added, or some hot broth. Please check with your doctor, he/she will know your individual history and will be able to tell if you can safely use this product.

I strongly recommend that you never use that stuff--even after you have the baby. My doctor told me a while ago that it actually does more harm than good--and to use cough drops (I know, you said they weren't working) or try gargling warm salt water. Honestly, throw the chloraseptic away. It's best for you. Also try putting a warm (wet) washcloth over your face and breathing deeply--this will help soothe a little.
