you should be able to tell by the way he treats you, talks to you, and acts with you around his friends and family.
if you dont know in your gut that he loves you, then he probably doesnt

Actions always speak louder than words. Is he showing he loves you? Opening doors for you, doing little things for you? Does he like to be around you? If you have been dating for a long time, then it should be apparent through his actions if he loves you. If its a new relationship, then give it some time. If all he wants is a physical relationship, then lose him, because its not about love, its only lust, no matter what he says. If its love, it will have to be able to last beyond physical beauty. If he is willing to wait till marriage, and it does not change his feelings for you, then you can be reasonably sure its truely love.

Hot coals under his feet, hypnosis, psychic readings. None of these will work as well as just waiting to see if he does something to go against his word. If he continues to treat you like he loves you and doesn't nothing to betray that vow then I guess he really does love you. Time is the only way you can tell.

A simple sales tactic. Take it away. Give him space, if it was meant to be, he will stay. And all that talk about sex, give me a break, it is fun and relaxing, but not really a relationship builder no matter how much fun.

build a giant pool and put sharks in it. Then capture his mom and tie her up, and hang her over the pool. Bring him over and tell him he has to choose between you and his mom. If he chooses you, let the rope break and feed her to the sharks. Then you know he loves you.
If he chooses your mom, feed her to the sharks to help vent your anger.

u can tell by the way the sex is done.
if its all freaky then its good. but if its all like touchy feely, cuddling nonsense, then its no good.
