Some people are here for the sheer entertainment.
The majority of the time, I answer silly questions because it's fun.
You'd barely be able to tell I actually have a brain for all the silly questions I answer, let alone the fact that I normally enjoy intellectual subjects.
In the beginning, I spent a lot of time in the more serious sections - Psych., Philosophy, etc. but gradually moved to the silly things such as Trivia, Wordplay and Polls, etc.

Just depends on one's mood, I guess.

Yeah, it is annoying. People answer a lot of the silly ans stupid questions because they're easier to answer than a serious question, plus, they think it's funny. I only answer serious questions most of the time and I don't usually take sides, showing my advice or if asked or needed, my opinon. I don't waste my time with the stupid ones (mostly). So, you're not alone. Some of us get ticked off too when people just answer the dumb questions. :)

Good point there about depending on moods...also because most of the people on this site are very young people looking for some fun and to get peoples opinion about issues...serious issues...that is more for research...so library is a recommended place to look for a serious anwer other wise enjoy the fun and sharing of opinions from people with diverse backgriounds age...etc

I know! Isn't that weird...it's the same with me; even though I've only ever asked a whole two questions. It's hard to find help...even on the internet, apparently. People don't want to put out too much effort in answering "serious" questions, either b/c they do not know, or they really don't care.

maybe because with serious questions like this people find them boring or less interesting. perhaps they just want to have laugh and try to ignore the more stressful things in life. Lots of the on here are just bored and want to have a little fun. But that doesn't answer your question.

It doesnt make me all that mad, i can understand why they do it.

It's easier to come up with a one liner, to get the two points, than to spend 5 minutes or so on a quality answer. You have to admit, some of the answers are funny though.

I've experience the same thing. The deeper and more thought provoking the question, the fewer the answers. That's why the what should I do retard got so many answers.
