Sorry your bird died. Just try to do something you usually do to make yourself better when you are sad.

I felt the same when my bird died, the only thing that helped me was remembering the good times we had. The first couple of weeks, especially if you were really close are the hardest. But, rather grieving over your pet's death, celebrate the time he/she was alive. At least they aren't suffering anymore. (My bird died from a tumor in the eye.)

I'm sorry to hear that. My little beta fish is sick herself. Her partner just died a few months back. If it consoles you, buy another little bird. But perhaps it may be too painful to bear if it dies too soon? I don't want any more betas, as they don't live long, but long enough for you to be attached to them.

That sounds normal for the grieving process, and you will be glad to know that it will lessen in time. Sorry for your loss,...maybe get another one soon!
