i thought javy lopez was released from the boston red sox
why is he on the active roster now and why doesnt it say they signed him (if they did) under the boston red sox transactions

yeah he wasn't on the team, like they showed he was released on 9.8.06 (when he was released), then i look today and he was back on the team

He was officially released yesterday...some of the wire services are tardy.....

He was released yesterday after Varitek came back and he never played.
He probably won't sign anywhere this year since he wouldn't be eligible to play in the post season anyway, oh and he's not very good.

pitching in the national league must really be bad if he hit 42 homers just recently! I thu-ink that a team like kansas city or the pittsburg pirates may sign him, or a really good team as their backup catcher
