Why the Halls of Justice, when we get justice from the Court Room?
Why do we park in a Driveway? Drive on a Parkway?

Speaking as a former teacher, disruptive kids(older ones) usually get sent into the hall if they are distracting the other kids. I sent them out with all the assignments and then some.

Great question - they should call it "chamber of tortured silence," or "boredom central." Those more accurately describe my "study halls," anyways. 'Course, then again, school for me really hasn't actually kicked into full gear yet...I'll be bogged down with school work come Monday.

because to the teachers, they put the kids in just certain rooms in the school, so maybe its the hallway that they are referring to.
