I have some sunflowers that I am displaying in a vase, and they look better if I bind them together with a rubber band. My roommate says that might hurt them though and make them wilt sooner- does anyone know?

The stems on sunflowers are pretty thick, make sure they have a fresh cut as long as the band is not smashing the stems they will bw fine. After all they bundle flowers like that in the market.

They will not wilt any sooner. Keep your arrangment nice- binding wont hurt
