Hall was married to Bryna Lublin from 1969 to 1972. He converted to Lublin's religion, Judaism, in order to marry her. He has not actively participated in religion since, but has said that he feels more of a connection to Judaism than to his original affiliation, Methodism.[18]
Hall had a nearly 30-year relationship with songwriter Sara Allen (the inspiration for the song "Sara Smile", and a frequent collaborator with Hall & Oates) which ended in 2001 for undisclosed reasons. They were never married. Sara Allen briefly appears in an episode of Live from Daryl's House as Hall introduces her as "the Sara from Sara Smile," to Wyclef Jean. The episode was first broadcast in May of 2016.

No, but he tried to act as gay as he possibly could in their videos because being gay or bi was culturally popular at the time. Hall and stars like Prince, Bowie, Boy George and Jagger all were trying to get traction in the media and cash in to make up for lack of true talent. (Like that really makes a difference anyway.) the female artists pulled the same crap like Madonna and others...Just take a look at the old Hall and Oats videos...they are intentionally trying to be gay-er than the Village People, and that's a high hurdle to clear.

6). DARYL HALL (1948 - ), U.S. POP SINGER
In a 1984 Rolling Stone magazine interview, Hall denied persistent rumors that he was gay and that he was singing partner John Oats were lovers. "The idea of sex a man does'nt turn me off," he said, "but I don't express it. I satisfied my curiosity about that years ago. I had lots of sex between the ages of three or four and the time I was fourteen or fifteen. Srange experiences with older boys. But men don't particularly turn me on. And, no, John and I have never been lovers. He's not my type. Too short and dark."
