It is a continuous process of growth like finger/toe nails and hair. Wearing off tan is nothing but new skin covering up.It grows faster when we are not looking at it. We constantly leave tiny dead skin tissue particles where ever we go and a microscope can trace our trail. I found in some research it grows faster from 6 am to 9 am. so it is better for men shave in late forenoons.
