i know what you mean

i just moved here from another country to start college

i live on campus - its quite cool

jobs - dont you just get one the same way you would as if you were at home? were im going they even have on campus jobs, like admin stuff - just ask around

my stuff, during breaks - i wanted to take it all with me, but i realized that that is stupid - but i know a really sweet family and maybe i'll ask them - do you think thats kind of forward?

"hey im going to chicago for Christmas break, do you mind watching my stuff?" - anyway...

ask a faculty memeber...?

i dont know dude, but dont worry, things will work themselves out

you'll make connnections

good luck okay

When summer break comes you can either send everything home (or drive it home if you can) or get a storage facility and store what you don't need. Or, if you get an apartment you wouldn't be going home as often and so that would eliminate the whole problem.

Getting a job in a new state is like getting a job anywhere. You look for companies you'd like to work for and apply. Since you'll be in class, working on campus or somewhere with different shifts would be better than a big company.

Almost every college has dorms, especially in California. Some suck, so you can get an apartment.

I can think of two main options:

1. Go home. My university offers storage boxes that are kept here, but I think that's rare. Or you can send it back home the same way it got to Cali (driving, etc)

2. Stay on or near campus and get a job (unless you just want to sit around all day). Look into whether the college has summer housing, or you can rent an apartment.
