How can you expect anyone to help you write a story when you seem to have such a poor grasp of grammar and usage? No offense meant, but you need to devote some time to a serious study of English usage before trying to write anything. I have published many articles in newspapers and magazines, and there's not an editor anywhere that would publish you if the phraseology of your question is any example of your writing. I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, but if you ever submit anything to an editor that's as poorly-written as your question, you'd pretty-much ruin your chances of being considered seriously by that editor.
If you're really interested in writing, pick up a copy of Writer's Guide 2006 and also the A.P. Stylebook. Every good writer uses these, as well as a dictionary.

There needs to be more real life, up-to-date stories for school children. Some of the books my daughter brought home when she was in school were so boring and out of date. You're on the right track; your story sounds like something teenagers would read. I think interesting topics would be cheerleading, football, field trips, etc. Just make and fun and interesting story around something that kids are involved with in their everyday lives. Good luck!

How about they go on a joy ride and get all crazy. They hit a wall of traffic and freak out that maybe it's a check point. They eventually realize it's because of an accident and that some kids they know have gotten into a fatal accident because they were also out partying. The "joy" gets taken out of their ride really fast when they realize it could just have easily been them that night.

Write a humorous story with an element of sadness in between....something about a sad fact of life but you are teaching readers to accept that sad fact as part and parcel of life. Tuesdays with Morris was a good book of similar genre. Write something thought-provoking.

~okay-here you go: my daughter is 9 & has been asking alot of "personal" questions. how about a story for kids gently explaining what their body is going through-nothing graphic. it would be nice if you could find something like that to try to help them along. good luck with whatever you decide on, don't let the nasty comments get you down-follow your dream!~
