Question

What is the connection between psychic ability and magick?

Does being psychic automatically make you a witch or magician?

Can you be a witch or magician if you have no psychic talents?

I know some reasons for these, but hearing it from other (serious answering) people would really push it into my mind and prevent doubts. Most of my spellwork doesn't work because I have doubts sometime in the middle of the spell.

Different aspects using different types of power.

Psychic abilities and powers are found in, and fueled by, the psyche -- the mind, the spirit, or the brain depending on your model.

Magic, broadly, is the ability to use any form of non-scientifically measurable energy, whether psychic or otherwise. However, magic as a term is usually applied to those who use external energies, even if their focus is internal.

In other words, while the same skills and talents might lead to controlling both psychic energy and other forms of magical energy, psychic energy is purely created by the mind. Most forms of magic, including almost all forms of witchcraft, use other energies as well.

The overlap comes because the skills to use the different energies are similar. So, just like someone who is good with one musical instrument can often learn another quite easily -- commonality in the underlying skills.

And yes, you can develop only one area of practice. For example, if you can only control external energies, that would be magic or witchcraft (depending on the tradition and the model used), but it would not count as a psychic talent because no psychic (mental) energies are being used in the application.

The main connection between psychic ability and magic is that one can, with magic, perform the same feath that are performed by psychics.

Possessing psychic abiities does NOT automatically make one a witch or magician.

And one Can be a witch or magican without having any psychic abilities whatsoever.

Both psychic ability and magic can be learned or they can be inborn. In those in which the abilities are inborn, it is difficult, if not impossible to know if the psychic abilities are just that, or a part of aor the result of magical ability. The ony real way is finding out if the person had any non-psychic magical aiblities. That is a good clue, but, again not alwyas definite confirmation one way or the other.

Doubt is the main reason for spell failure. Doubt comes from a lack of concentration and too much worry over the result of the spell. the trick is to learn to cultivate an attitude where your desire for the result is strong, but being detached form that desire at the same time.

Ritual is the main way of not only focusing ont he task at hand, but in putting yourself in a proper state to work the magic. Each step of the spell should be performed as though it is the most important thing in the universe at that momet and approached with the idea that that step will do exactly what it is intended to do. If each step is focused on in that manner, it should help you to focus past those areas of doubt.

Having been a practitioner of the magical arts for many years, I have found this to be one of the best ways of overcomg the problems asspciated with doubt.

In my experience, people with psychic ability have some magic talent. Psychic doesn't make you anything but psychic, you can be a witch or magician with no psychic talents.
Your spellwork is most likely found in a book or online. You are not following a recipe, it is more like releasing forces within yourself. If you are not willing to do that, don't try this at home. Seriously, what you throw out comes back to you three times. If your spells are attempting to take away free will from someone else (i.e. love spells), injure someone, or reincarnate someone, please back away now. If they are not for personal gain or a desire for power, you may need to find a mentor who is willing to help you find your own right hand path.

Honest answer: People can learn in books how to be a magician,or a witch; and practising all about that.But if you were born, with Psychic abilities as: telepathy,clairvoyance (third eye ability) and power;then is easy to practise and be a magician or o witch or a wizard. If you do not have natural abilities (psychic talents),will be more difficult to be a magician.On the other hand,being a natural Psychic do not make you a witch or magician.You need to study, and discover your real skills and talents in those matters.This is a real complex matter. To practise or do spells,you need to know exactly which are your skill,talents and abilities.Good question.

Merry ye meet hi i am a witch been told by many many people I have a very brite light and I know i can read people i have magick powers but I am told that not every witch have psychic powers and not every psychic can do magick it is possible thought to have both the tailent of a psychic and have magickal powers like me.

As an Occultist I will offer you answers that I myself understand as truth. If they are or are not your truth is for you to decide.

Magick is an art, a ritual of understand the truth. How we wake up each day, how we conduct ourselves, how we respond to a situation. It seems silly that something so foreign can be this simple. It is however the truth. Magick refers to ritual. Everyone has a ritual, a way of living and breathing, how they walk, talk, and think is a part of it. Magick is the pulse of life. Understanding this ritual gives specific people the ability to see beyond the first pulse. By altering their way of living a magickian moves this pulse into a place where his distinct pattern offers more signifigance to the world around him. This makes everyone by my understanding a magickian. The only difference between people is their creativity of the pulse.

Psychic abilities come from the same pulse. They are magickians as well. They however practice the art of magick backwards. Rather then creating a signifigant pulse they play the pulse of others. This is like 2 drummers striking the drum at the same time. It makes a louder version of the same sound. Being that much louder allows a psychic to hear what the other persons pulse is. This can take many steps back. suppose someone has died. This would mean to most that their pulse is to far away to hear. However, that pulse lives within the pulse of those they knew. By learning the pulse of one, they learn the pulse of another.

If you can see a ritual you can be a magickian. Its all about being aware, many times people try to ignore the ritual becuase it seems like it does not matter. However, to become the ultimate magickian one must play the instrument of life with the song of the soul.

The reason your rituals fail is becuase the transition between the song you want to hear and the song you have do not blend. Its like trying to place heavy metal on top of classical. Rather then trying to blend two completely different things find instead a pulse that allows what you desire to take place. A middle ground between what is real, and what is possible.

There is no connection between psychic ability and Magick. You can be a Witch and not be psychic as much as you can be psychic and not be a Witch. I am a Witch, and unfortunately, I am not psychic. Being psychic does not automatically make you a Witch. If you cast a spell, never have doubts or it will not work.

Automatic??? My gut feeling about this word is that it has been created by Human Beings hoping for some magic or miracle to happen in their lives. I believe every moment and every event occurs by Universal design. Our Universe is what it is!
