i just inherited a 1980 honda cm400... its needs a little work, but i am willing to do it... my problem is i cant find parts...

my local parts center can only order a few parts because its so old... i checked out dennis kirk... but the same thing, nothing goes back that far...

anyone know a great company that sells parts for a bike that old ??? i would love to restore this bike... but i just cant find the parts...
and another thuing... it needs to be cheap...

Also, look for message boards dedicated to the CM series bikes, or old Hondas in general. The Internet community can be a great source of spare parts.

J and P cycles also sell some parts for doing restorations.Good luck I have a 1977 that I also inherited I plan to restore soon

Go to Yahoo groups and check out "Honda CM450".
It is a group dedicated to late 70's and early 80's Honda CB, cm motorcycles. I am a member and have gotten some good advice there.
They probably have some info for you.

I just rebuilt a '78 CB400Tand sold it. Now doing a '82 KZ1000 M2.
