This sounds like a classic case of a blown head gasket. They often happen when a car overheats, and the water / oil mixture is a very common symptom.
It's definitely possible to put the car back on the road with no lasting damage. It's not just a matter of putting in a new gasket, though - you will want to find and fix the source of the overheating, and make sure the cylinder head and block deck are still flat. If they are warped, a machine shop can mill them flat again.

Take your car to a certified mechanic that you trust. The fix could be big buck$. Normally a blown head gasket is the first, warped head that need resurfacing, checking the engine blocks deck and checking other related items. Also find out why your car overheated in the first place. Good luck on getting it analyzed and repaired.

you have water in your oil, its a blown head gasket. if you can fix it yourself its worth it to fix. it depends on the vehicle but its very expensive to have fixed. its not that expensive if you can fix it yourself or no someone who would do it for less money. hope that helps.
