After my cycle this pain keeps reacurring. My cycle usually happens around the end of the month I am great . When the new month comes around ( 10th until its time for my cycle )I am in extreme pain, This is what it feels like a sharp pain shooting from my back to the side of my stomach if feels like pressure like gas. Sometime after I go to the bathroom #2 I still have pain. It comes and goes. I ve seen the gyn the gastro doc nobody knows the put me on zelnorm still have that feeling. One nurse told me that I am ovalating and that pain is just a symtom. However this effects me every month and I have to take off from wk help me find the problem so I can get the right help (Adult only apply)

Please check out the Yahoo Research group--- Endometriosis Research Center (ERC Yahoo group). You will find out the problems, pains of women similarly situated as you. They will refer you to doctors, insurance, medicines, vitamins. They say to feel pain when we menstruate is not normal. So, please check them out to feel enlightened and have a worldwide support and cooperative group. They are a bunch of very caring and sincere people. There are professionals who offer help too, part of that group. Smile!!!

The pain in your back and the pressure make it sound like an ovarian cyst to me, those are the symptoms I had. Unfortunately my doctor didn't realize that's what it was until it was large enough to need surgery. But if it's small (they usually are) they can just be shrunken with birth control pills. Make sure it's a good gynecologist too, the first one I went to was clueless. I'm sure it will be fine :-)

edit: Have they done a sonogram? Because if they haven't, I would say find a doctor who will, if mine had done that it would have been caught early.

You sound exactly like me! I have Endometriosis, which needs to be diagnosed by your OB/GYN.
