For a book that gave you all of the basics about becoming a professional piercing apprentice? I've written "The Piercing Apprentices' Notebook Volume I" and before publication I need to know what to charge. The book is 200+ pages, all the pics are in blazing, full color and there's not another one like it on the market.
Oh, I almost forgot! I've been piercing for over 15 years!!!
Tattoo books of this nature sell for $80-$120. So whaddya think?

To tell you the truth, you would have to make sure you are asking people who are willing to actually pay for this book, or else, people are not going to really know how much these types of books costs, therefore, how much they are willing to pay.
I know color pictures can be pretty costly, especially if there are many of them... therefore, I could only give you an estimate of how much it should cost based on something I would know.

On what you have described... I would say no more than 80 dollars, even if it is unique in its own way. This, I base it off of a book that I purchased... Although it is not for piercing, the concept of it being a basics and how to book with clear and descriptive color pictures, the book I purchased (on Homicide Investigations), costs no more than 90 dollars.. and it is over 900 pages. (I've seen no other like it, at least for its specific field.) This specific book is an actual textbook that I guess some places use to teach Investigators and or police the basics in investigating crime scenes... and as I believe it is with your book, your pictures are probably clearly distinctive examples of different kinds for what's who's and how's ...
This is my opinion... I would really suggest you go up to others in your same field and ask them for their opinions on this.
Hope this helps you somewhat.

So you are creating a book that people can go buy and then think they have all it takes to be a peircing professional. Home peircing. This could be very beneficial. Think of all the extra money the hospitals and doctors will make on infections, tetanus, HIV, Hepetitis and other bloodborn illnesses! Do you really think "home peircers" are going to pay much attention to properly cleaning and sterilizing equipment? You KNOW they aren't going to run out and buy new needles every time.

You'd better charge a fairly high price. You see as the author of such a book, you face liability risks when Billy Ray Joe Bob peirces 6 of his friends and gives them all infections or diseases. At least the high cost of purchase will help when you are ordered to pay millions in damages when Suzie (Billie Ray's poor 4th victim) has to have her nose amputated because of a serious infection and gangrene setting in.

I rent apartments and to get the best renters and fill my apts, I rent low and weed out and am rented why others aren't. So I would sell from 25-40 dollars.

I think that's a fair price. Piercing is not something just anyone can do. You gotta know what you are doing!
