You change your diet, start a work out plan and smile because you realized this at an early age. You won't be obese at 30 and die of a heart attact.

Hey, dont eat things in a box or out of a microwave
Start walking a little, little by little
take up walking and biking and less TV watching
I am about to turn 35, and i am only 28% body fat, but even so my hips and knees and lower back hurt from the excess weight.
Turn things around for yourself NOW because it gets harder when you are older.
good luck

Have your parents make an appointment with your doctor. Not sure how much overweight you are. If it isn't too much, you might be getting ready for a growth spurt. Definately become more active and your doctor can help make a recommendation about your diet. Don't try to change that on your own drastically, you might do more damage that anything else.

Stop eating all the garbage like chips, soda, candy, nachos ect. Especially when you watch tv. If you gt hungry get a piece of fruit and drink a lot of water. If you MUST have soda drink diet. Popcorn is better than chips. Get outside and walk!

Just read an article in Parents Mag. about this! Up your activity level (play outside, take walks, bike, etc.) and eat a little healthier. You're lucky you're so young, because as you grow up, you'll thin out with better eating habits and exercise. It's us adults that have it bad...we don't have any way to grow up...just OUT! LOL!! Good luck!!! :)

You are setting a pattern at this point in your growth and development. If you don't take steps now to start eating healthfully and exercising properly, you'll likely be fighting weight problems the rest of your life.
