I think that every man or lady has different things they want that are important to them but I will try to list some of the things that are important to me.
I want a lady that -
Loves me for me, she doesn't want to change me. She accepts me for who I am. My good points and my faults.
Wants to be with me, she doesn't want to go out with the girls, she wants to be with me as I do with her.
Is the most wonderful Mother to our child/children. I want her to be the Mother that our child will want to be when she grows up.
Is willing to make occasional sacrifices for me as I will for her what ever they may be.
Enjoys laughing, life, love and the satisfaction of knowing that while we may not be rich, the love we have make us far happier than any amount of money ever could.
Is my wife, my confidant and my lover.
I consider myself to be the luckiest man around because I have this lady and she does far, far more than I have listed here.
I too try to be everything to her that she wants in a man and more.
If your in love as I'm sure you are, you know that you can do anything for each other.

OK, here it goes from Jstar14...I want maturity. I want a woman that is not afraid to be herself even with the flaws. I don't want a pretentious little cutie who will disappoint me later. I want stability of mind and then some craziness when it comes to having a good time. No stick in the mud types!
Intelligence, good looks and personality work well for me. I am a spiritual person and would like to be associated with a woman who feels likewise. I'm in my 50's now, been married, divorced,etc. I found that at different stages of my life I looked for different qualities in a woman. Sure, I would like a sexy, beautiful woman, but the truth is that doesn't fill the cup, not even close. I have been with all kinds, and I discovered that my needs are the simple ones, but the hardest to find. I want a partner. I tend to spoil the woman in my life and just want to feel as if it's not taken for granted.
It's the little things that make a difference. A phone call in the middle of the day to say "I love you", a quick kiss just because, finding a love note stuffed into the papers I'm working on, finding gas in the car when I get in it :-).

a best frend that i can really get along with ... ups downs and all of the above... someone whose found herself and is very direct on what she wants...someone who you can look to for comfort during a ****** up situation , kinda like when you cant tell your best man... the kind of woman whos ready withion 30mins just to go out for a special occcasion, perferably a female who looks good rain or shine... not materialistic to the point where i have to buy her a 2 grand gucci coin purse just so shes happy for that moment and time, then the next day i gotta take her to a fancy lunch... someone whos into me for who i am and not for what i have in my pocket or what series bmw i drive... most females are looking for stability now a days well i say if the loves there and the sex is wild and great then shes the one... and if any thing someone who i can show different things on different aspects of things... a female who i can have a deep intelligent conversation with and then shes a goofy blond aftter the fact... beautiful inside and out... beauty and brains if you will... theres much more to my view but there it is so enjoy

As all women are different, so are all men, so I can only answer for myself. "Compatibility" would be the most important thing for me - does she like the same kind of music? Vote for the same candidates in political elections? Think the same thing about religion? The best mate for anybody is someone that "complements" you - where you make up for each others weaknesses and reinforce each other's strengths. A great sex life is nice, but its only a part of the picture.
