I don't know off-hand any prestigious schools in London ( I live here), but I'll tell you a bit about my experiences of both the USA & UK.

I was born in New York. Lived in India. Now live in London. I'm married to a mixed race Englishman. So my kids are all sorts of shades of colours.

The States is VERY, VERY RACIST! Once I was arrested & put in jail for 4 hours in New Jersey as I was walking in a rich neighbourhood with my black boyfriend. That was our crime - black & white together.! There's some problems in London, but really, many of the people are mixed race. Many people have partners of different colours. It's also more of a global community in London. The USA is huge & isolated. They only think about themselves. London has a lot of interaction with the world.

London has plenty of crime, like other big cities, but fewer guns. Guns are not allowed in your own home & even most of the police don't have guns.

School in the UK starts 1 year earlier than the USA. At age 16, your basic education is finished, whereas in the States it's age 18. Here, after age 16, you can go to college (it's free for residents), then on to University.

I'm much happier living in London than New York. Many beautiful parks, many nationalities, large Latin American community who work hard, the people like all the different cultures.

Really, the only thing I don't like is the weather - never really hot. But not terribly cold.

You have to tell your parents how you feel. How old are you?
It's not that easy to choose where to go. My guess is that your father has a good job offer in the USA and not in England.
You'll find racism everywhere. Probably England isn't so much against Spanish speakers, because they don't know a Mexican from a Spaniard, and Spain is in the EU. In the US people who speak Spanish are automatically Hispanics.

If your parents really have a choice then I would say England, but then I can't stand the US and I'm British.

Don't know what choices your parents have, you've got to talk to them.

I think you can get back to me through Yahoo. They have my e-mail address.

There are some schools in the UK that are the best in the world but only if money isn't a problem. I attended school in both countries and although the curriculum id very differebt, i found that the school in England of a higher standard, I'm noy so sure about now though...Unfortunately. racism exists everywhere in the world in many different forms. I hope it all works out for you. Good luck mate

I'd say the UK has better schools, and definitely much less of a problem with racism in my opinion, especially not towards Mexicans. Your English seems very good to me and i am sure you will be just fine wherever you decide to go.

Your English seems fine.
English schools are ok.
Cannot (yet) comment on American schools.
Racism is everywhere, the Americans dislike Mexicans but will quite happily enslave them in the low paid jobs.
England, well, appears to dislike any one and everyone. Stick with the USA.

It depends which USA state you are in, but I guess countries are all the same. There are very good schools, good schools, average schools, bad schools and very bad schools. So, I have recently been in the USA (two weeks ago) in Pennyslvania State and I saw very good schools there. I guess you need to discuss with your parents and I dont think your parents will lead you astray if they really love you.
