you need to be more specific, do you mean top 5 ever, or top 5 current...

UCLA is the best ever, then UK, UNC, Kansas, and Duke

Top 5 now would be
Florida, Kansas, Ohio State, Duke, Connecticut

Actually, only a few of those are correct.

UCLA of the 60s was the best ever, other than them, IU is the best.
This year both should make a solid run at the final four.

North Carolina

Note: Indiana, UCLA and Kentucky account for 22 of the 67 national titles.

It varies from year to year but I'd say that in the past five years or so Duke, North Carolina, UCONN, Illinois, and Florida have been the most dominant. also Ohio State, Kansas, and Michigan State have been up there too.

I know that Duke, North Carolina and UConn are still the teams to beat. Florida has been added to the mix this year.
