I've been studying this stuff since 4th grade. Gaia the Earth and Uranus the Sky are the parents of the Cyclops, the Hundred Handed Beasts, and the 12 Titans, who then parented many of the Gods, but Gaia and Uranus were not Titans themselves. In fact, Cronos, the leader of the Titans, shoved the Cyclops and Hecatonchires back into Gaia's womb since he found them detestable...until Zeus freed them, which is where he got the lightning bolt.

I've played a game on the computer called "Age of Mythology: The Titans expansion" in which Gaia was considered as a Titan. But I think in Greek Mythology Gaia and Uranus were the ancestors of all the gods and the Titans.

The Titans are not from now on people. they're, besides the undeniable fact that the first entities that existed in greek mythology. they have been round because the starting up of time, and represent primal beliefs, no longer inevitably a particular ingredient (i.e. Time itself truly of Thunder or the sea). there is not any actual rationalization on how they were given there, because they're the universe itself. to illustrate, Titans of the solar and Moon, yet as well more desirable precis such issues as reminiscence or regulation. wish that helped.

No, they are not Titans. Some of their children were. One named Cronus castrated Uranus and took over as king of the universe, until his son Zeus overthrew him. Brothers of the Titans were the Cyclops and the Hekatoncheires. The former had just one eye apiece in the center of the forehead. The latter had 100 arms apiece.

They could be a representation of actual Earth and Heaven; in regard to the biblical nephilim their children were giants. So, being elder gods they were definetely Titans.

there were hundreds of gods and goddesses and the titans were what came before the humanistic gods and goddesses, however i never heard of uranus being the father god. gaia is mother earth but still was not the head goddess, i think that was hera and zues was the highest placed god.
