Usually your counselor at school, can get you a work permit,.... but I think you need to be 16. When you do start working, you will understand why your mother is getting stingy with money! Money doesn't grow on trees, and the gas prices are crazy. Oh and don't forget uncle SAM! by the time he gets done with your paycheck,..... you have crap left. But you will soon find out.

I think 14 is still too young for a work permit. The age in my state is 15. Maybe you could find work on your own, like babysitting, running errands or yard work.

Yes, since vacation is over, school can give you a form that you and mom, can fill so you can get a part time job, after school, and on weekend! During Vacation you do not a permit!!

as stated above, right now concentrate on odd jobs. run errands, do yardwork. in the right neighborhood, get yourself a bucket and some rags and and go sell yourself, wash every car in the neighborhood. in a year or two depending on the state maybe get a paper route. at sixteen many will hire you to wash dishes. but you do it right, maybe by then you have your own carwashing/detailing business.
