The answer to your question is NO. Black people that are educated, not on welfare and so on and so on, are not trying to be White, they are living life as it should be. It does take then away from the norm because the perception of others is that if you are Black, you have no dignity. But in these days more and more Blacks are trying to show everyone that being Black doesn't mean that one is not caring of their surroundings and how they should act and be. If you check or study Black history you will find that many Black people have contributed many things to his Country. One more thing, you looked around you, and you will see that many other races also have economic problems and do live on welfare and have 6,000 (exaggerated figure) kids and so on and so on.

No, since none of these thing are "being white"
In fact I dont know anyone who quality as being black if you need to have poor diction, be uneducated, be on welfare, has 6,000 kids and lack a pay check.
Not sure where you get such ideas? Have you been watch 1980 TV reruns or movies?

He's just a well educated black man, who speaks with good diction,is not on welfare as gainfully employed and doesn't have 6,000 kids(humanly impossible, you might say.) Who's to say that being white is the gauge for a law-abiding citizen.

No....this is an educated person who wanted a piece of the American Pie and should be praised for overcoming racial boundaries and stereotypes to elevate him/her self to a level he/she wanted to be in life. Are only white people supposed to speak with proper diction? I've seen a pretty sickening number of white people who fit your "black" stereotype! What's the problem?
