I totally agree nothing beats receiving a letter from someone you know who you haven't heard from in awhile. its a feeling that email can't compare, its physical you hold it touch it feel it.

Absolutely! I think it's even more of a thrill now that technology no longer supports snail mail. With the simplicity of phone texting, e-mail, and instant messengers hand written letters have become something of the past. Personally, I love technology go forward I say, but every now and again a hand written letter just does the trick. It says to me: 1. this person really cares or 2. this person just isn't up to date. I'm pushing more for the first, of course! I love a good hand written letter...it gives it that more personal feeling...you know!?!?

Mail used to be so enjoyable. When you heard the banging of the letterbox closing I used to run to the door to see what people have sent me. It used to be quite exciting, but now it is always bills and adverts. Emaiul isn't as nice but at least you can sort through them easily. I think technology is soon going to 'take over the world'. For example, if you had a problem you would use to just ask somebody but now you post it on Yahoo! Answers. It isn't the same.

I think recieving a letter is so nice and personal, in this day and age of advanced technology, recieving a hand written letter just seems really nice. Nobody really writes anymore but i think people shud go back to doing that. Even in emails all i get are forwards and jokes etc. nobody stops to say hello and how are you no more. Sad i know.

I think it's even more of a thrill now, because it's so rare to get a personal letter. It's nice to get a friendly email from a friend too though :-)

I think you are right! I actually get excited to receive a hand written letter by snail mail! I predict that someday in the near future, hand written letters will become highly colectable, since so very few continue to do it!

Actually, yes. It is. When someone actually takes the time to personally write a letter to me, it makes me feel sort of special.
