Women and make-up?

Question

Personally I prefer women without make-up, but who decided that generally women would apply make-up anyway and not men?

Any thoughts?

I think in some cultures men actually DO wear the makeup. Seems like I've seen some of that on TV on National Geographic - like the men in certain African tribes do because they are trying to attract the women and that's how they do in their culture. It's funny in nature - all the male species are the flashy ones - look at birds. Male birds are SO colorful and pretty and beautiful and female birds are usually brown and plain - to obviously blend in with the nest to protect the babies...but it's funny that most people are OPPOSITE and women generally look flashier than men with makeup, fashion, accessories, etc. :) Interesting...

I agree, makeup does good for some women, but I've seen many that look sooooo much better without their makeup.
For example, on the show King of Queens, there is an episode where Doug has Carrie not wear makup, and she looked so much hotter.

I use makeup when I go out with my boyfriend clubbing but other than that I use a clear mascara and some lipstick and that's about it.

Some girls look good with it, some without it. Some women prefer it some don't.

By the way, when my boyfriend and I go out he hogs the eyeliner.

Men used to wear makeup, a few still do. Women or girls think men or boys like them better made up.

Some women put that much makeup on it draws down the face. If they smiled I would make their backside jealous.

I don't know. I know that woman wearing make up predates to the days of Ancient Egypt. I like some make up, but I don't like when women cake their faces up with it like some 1980's glam doll. It don't look very healthy. I prefer my woman to where make up that looks very natural and clean on them.

Historically both sexes have worn make-up and the fashionista dictate that it is not for males.

I wear a titchy bit to enhance what I have as an occasional confidence booster

I think women feel better about themselves just to know that they can makes themselves look a tad better even skin, more noticeable eyes etc. I don't wear makeup i think it cuases my skin to break out more often.

I think I look better in make-up and with out make-yp.
For em it dosen't really matter. If I just want to waste time I put make-up on but if i am in a rush i do not put on make-up.

Because we want to, do men need to control everything, the answer is no, but men say yes!
