i take a multivitamin daily plus calcium daily. any help will be appreciated.

Alot of people do. No medical condition has ever been proven. Its the same as why some people get white spots on the nails. Unless there is green or any pain, your nails are just fine.

sometimes if you have bumped your finger nail or pinched it it will stay that way until it grow out of it.... i had the same problem it took about 3 months to grow out... depending on fingernail growth rate...
