what is the name of the dance movie where a group of dancers go to a big city?

The group of dancers move to the city without their parents' wishes. They improve by being exposed to up-to-date dancing. At the end, they perform in a competition to make money, i think, and the song for their dance is "moving fast forward". I believe the movie came out in the 80s.
