Make a large X

On the lower left "leg" place point C and then point D closer to the center on the same "leg" (make sure to place them both below the intersection of the two lines)

On the lower right "leg" place point R and then point S closer to the center on the same "leg" (make sure to place them both below the intersection of the two lines)

Place arrow heads on the top two "arms" of the X

You now have a drawing of the explanation you gave in your question.

You'd draw two intersecting rays and superimpose non-intersecting line segments over them. Label them CD and RS. But geometry was a looong time ago for me.

Act like you drawing an X, so it kind of like a V without it meeting -- there are your segments then draw an arrow on the line that are almost intersecting--there are your rays

just graph segments cd and rs and then make a ray going from each that will intersect eventually

X

Looks like that. C is the bottom left, R is the bottom right.
D is on the lower left leg, S is on the lower right leg.

The segment going from C to D ends before the lines cross.
