Never noticed that. But then, I think Dallas reeks and I'm always happy to get out into the country and away from the smog. Maybe, if you're on 35, it's the exhaust. Also, some oilfields do reek of sulpher, but I don't remember any just south of Dallas.

Ah, wait! There is a Dow Corning plant near Waxahatchie that reeks every once in a while.
