A lot of my clothes have been coming out of the wash with spots on them. For example, a gray and a green shirt were put in the wash and they both came out with orange spots in random places on them. A red shirt got orange on it and a red jacket got faded on the darker red. Is it the bleach? I'm not sure. It's been only shirts, not my jeans or pants.

I have a theory that washing the clothes with swimsuits causes it. Any thoughts on that?

I think you are using chlorine bleach wich is only for white clothes and if the shirts are made of syntethic fibers they dont turn white with the bleach. they only change color where the bleach reach them. Try using other products such as Vanish or whatever that in the label specifies they do not have chlorine bleach. Softeners can also stain the clothes but the stains are not permanent and if you dilute de softener in water before using it then you willnot have any trouble. For color clothes I prefer liquid soaps made specially for color clothes and program the washer in the prewash cycle and then fthe normal and use products that helps or at least they say so to protect the colors.

Do you wash your shirts with thejens, or separately, because it sounds like something in the load of shirts has run, possibly the jacket that is fading.

Well, if you are puttin in bleach, then it is the bleach! Bleach is only for whites unless it states otherwise on the bottle.
