With Alonso again getting penalised, apparently unfairly in qualyfying for Monza and Renaults mass damper system getting banned, is Formula One fixed so that Schumacher and Ferrari win the championship?

I really think so.
And I agree, on this, with Flavio Briatore, who was the first to state that the championship is fixed. These decisions are simply ridiculous.

Plus MS got no penalty for brake-testing Fernando in qualifying, which caused him to go off track and get the puncture.

And I saw the video, and the one with JV blocking Fisichella, and there is no comparison. The only place where Fernando was less than 150-200 m ahead of Massa was in the chicanes. On the straight line you could tell they were going at similar paces.
Both of them with the right foot buried in the floor.

Other people have said F1 was fixed in the past few years and I think that there may be unfair influence against certain cars as we have seen with Renault there is also some influence in favor of the slower cars. Such as, I have heard during the US F1 broadcast that the Red Bull team using the old Ferrari V-10 is rumored to have about 200 more horsepower and more torque than the other V-8 cars but since they haven't run away with the championship no one really cares. The old Jordan F1 team got many advantages behind the scenes because of Eddie Jordan's long hisotry in F1.

If it is fixed then it may be due to the tire manufacturers more than anyone else. Note the 2004 US GP when Michelin was apparently tryign to assert their dominance and decided not to run at all.

I don't agree with the ruling on Alonso and I have to admit I was dismayed when Renault's damper system was ruled illegal. Having said that, many innovations on Formula One cars have been banned over the years - Colin Chapman's Double Chassis, Ken Tyrrell's ballast system, Gordon Murray's Fan Car (at Brabham) ... - even though they were used during the season or part of the season.

What they penalised him for that ? He was going as fast as he could so that he could start his flying lap before the end of qualifying. He made it with 2 seconds to spare. If is always obvious that Eccleston favours Schumacher. This make the whole thing a joke. The stewards admit it wasn't deliberate and from watching qualifying, Massa was miles behind. There is no way he could have passed Alonso.

It cant be fixed....thousands of people lives depends on it....billions were spend.....safety...

If you guys who answer Ecclestone is on MS side...you guys must be watching F1 only from 2000.

Remember Sepang 1999? Ferrai bargeboard got banned while they have been using it for the past 6 races?

1994 - MS were banned for a few races....

same goes to 1995

1997 - were disqualified for his act on villeneuve....

Monaco 2006....he was disqualified from his time after he was accused deliberately stopping in the track....

and the most recent one...Hungary 2006....MS also got penalised because he overtook under yellow flag....caused by Alonso who were penalised too for his famous hand gesture.....

you cant make everybody happy....when something happens to your favourite driver....you might think this and that and if and what if.....

be fair....look from both sides....

but i also prefer MS to win this year and retires for good....so that we can see does the youngsters have what it got to be known the next worldchampion....

I do support Alonso but give Mr MS last chance...

p/s...who am i going to support next year if MS retires....

No it's not but I do hate the way that it's very media aware all the time. They have always got a very visible eye on the publicity side of it in a way that most other sports don't (apart from premiership footie) probably because of the money involved so there is always a cynical air about anything that goes on from within the sport and from the fans (which includes me).

I don't know if they're fixing the championship, but F1 as a whole is rigged. It has been for years. I thought when F1 split it would clean up its act, but since it's not going to split now, maybe Schumacher's departure will help expose things.

If it was so fixed, how come they didn't penalise Alonso for cutting the first chicane today when passing Heidfeld?

The guys engine blew up anyway, so it didn't make a lick of difference.

I think so I really think that Michael Schumacher must pay the Stuards/Marshels a couple of back handers, so he can get up to his "Dick Dasturdly"deeds.
