Submersing yourself in a hot tub is not good for the baby, but a heating pad on your feet is not going to do any harm. I was told that I can have 2 caffeine drinks a day.

As far as coffee, 2-3, 8oz cups of coffee a day, according to recent studies is a safe ammount of caffine. I had 2 cups of coffee an hour before I had my ultra sound and it never affected my son's heartrate. Heating pads, depending on where you use them are not really good for you either. You can drink tea, or hot water with lemon to help stay warm, or get a little portable heater to keep next to your desk.

depends on where the heating pad is. too much heat draws the blood away from the placenta and to your skin. thats why youshouldnt get in a hot tub. the caffine i am not sure about because i dont know how much is bad. i had to quit caffine all together when i was preg w my daughter

I would check with my doctor if I were you. I wouldn't think a heating pad would bother your baby. If you're cold you're uncomfortable. Three small cups of coffee a week doesn't sound like much either. Still check with your doctor to be safe.
Congratulations!

See your doctor about the cold. Heating pads are not good for the baby. Wear extra sweaters.
Cut out the coffee if you can, but the amount is very small now.

I would ask my doctor about this heating pad. And regarding the coffee I have heard such conflicting information. Some say its safe some say its not safe...I'm confused myself, so now I just drink a small cup of decaffeinated coffee.

If you arent hott then you should be fine, my docter told me if i was having pains in my belly from stretching or back pains a heating pad on low would help this or a ice pack so i dont see any harm.
But keep in mine if your body temp. raises then your babies does. But if you are cold then i dont see how it could hurt their must be a A/C on in that building.

My doctor told me that I could drink like one can of pop a day ant thats it.
As far as being hot...they don't want you to overheat and dehydrate. I used a heating pad for my back and my ribs and my child is fine.
