I'm in my 2nd year of college. And am living in suite with 3 other guys. My first question in about 2000 Flushes, does it really work, anything that will keep me from cleaning the toilet bowel, it already looked bad when I got here?

My freshmen year, I was in dorms and the laundry room, was downstairs, with 6 washer and eight dryers, Where I'm staying at now there is onlly 2 washers and 2 dryers. I use to be able to take of 3 or 4 washer, and get my clothes done quicker. I would wake up a 6am to make sure no eles was in there. But I can't do that now. What I'm wondering is can you mix jean pants with shirts . Because last year, I would seperate everything, jeans by themselve, shirts by themselves, socks(white only), and towels and sleeping clothes and underwear together. But I can do that this time.

So can jeans and shirts go together, and is waking up really early and taking boht washers, ok? The resident asstiace, said that if people abuse the washer, he'll assign times slot 5 us

Toilet : A 2 litre of coke will eat stains and what not out of your toilet bowl and make it sparkling clean

Laundry: Pants and shirts can be washed together, trust me, I do it all the time. Just make sure you make that load smaller then the rest, because jeans are harder to dry. Colors can be mixed, I've never sorted my laundry. The only mistake you dont want to make is getting something red washed with something white. When you buy a new colored article, soak it in the sink and wring out the extra dye in it so that when you pop it in the washer it doesnt bleed the new color all over everything in the washer. You could also try Tide with bleach for colors to wash your clothes with.

I wash jeans and shirts together (but don't wash brand new jeans with anything else, until they have been washed a few times!)
Make sure you use a cold water cycle - no hot or warm!

2000 flushes? might keep the bowl a little cleaner, but you should still use a toilet brush once in a while for the stuck on stuff.

Also, 2000 flushes won't do anything to clean the rim, or the outside of the bowl, or the bottom of the toilet seat!

Don't know about the 2000 flushes, but it won't hurt, I'm sure.

Yes, you can wash your different types of clothes together, just sort them by color (darks and lights; whites seperate if you add bleach). If you have a brand new piece of clothing with dye in it (like dark jeans or a sweat shirt) you may want to run that seperate or with very dark clothes the first time or two you wash it so that the dye does not bleed onto your other clothes. Once you've washed it a few times, the dye is usually set and you can go back to just darks/lights.

RED: Red clothing should only be washed with other red clothing. Red has a tendency to turn pastels pinkish (forever).

BLUE: If the blue jeans have not been through enough washing cycles to render them colorfast, they will give your whites a blue tint. That is not as bad as the pink tint though.

BLACK & GREEN: Those colors can be another problem if the items are new and not colorfast.

I would suggest, never buy red clothing unless you plan to wash them alone. All other items including jeans, once they have been washed enough to make them colorfast, you can wash with everything else Wash separately a load of towels, some underwear & white shirts to which you plan to add some bleach.

1. Wash your cloths the way your mother taught you. If time is a problem doing them all a one time then do one load a day. Another option, is to go to a laundrymat and get all the washers you want.

2. Scrub that nasty toilet. 2000 Flushes is nothing more than slow release Chlorine Bleach. It might help keep some of the germs down but doesn't clean the toilet. Scrub it or make the Frat house replace it. Then make your nasty roommates help keep it clean.

As long as you wash dark colors separately from lights and whites, your laundry should be fine. But I do agree that you should watch what happens with red things because red dye seems to run more than other colors.

As for the toilet, I just dump some bleach in it and let it sit while I take care of other chores, then scrub it out. It works like a charm!

well, here's what I do, I have 4 kids and piles of laundry always...
I separate my reds and whites. Most of the other stuff I just throw in together(yes, jeans with shirts, etc.). I also wash in cold, so I never have any colour runs. You should watch for permanent press items, too.(if you even have any, do them on the delicate cycle)
As for the toilet cleaner, I like the blue stuff, but keep a toilet brush beside the toilet and every now and then give it a quick once-over.

Whites belong with whites, and your colors belong with colors. Jeans need to be washed with jeans. Try to wash simular clothes together. Darks with darks and etc. Your sheets need to be washed just with sheets. Your towels will get worn out quicker if you wash them with other clothes. Your clothes will last longer if you take a few extra minutes to seperate your clothes. They make some inexpensive toilet cleaning products that you simply squirt in around the rim and a couple of swipes and your done.

2000 Flushes definitely helps.

New jeans will discolor light-color clothes. But if you've washed them a lot, you can mix colors in cold water. Next time you wash jeans. open the machine and look in. If the water is blue, then just wash them with darks.
