any multiplication problem with a negative in it will have a negative answer. pull up your calculator on your computer and try it.

Best Helper has a mistake in the final part -- neg * pos = NEG, not the larger of the two (that's only for addition).

Other than that, a good answer.

Is that the kind of information you are looking for? Because the term "normal expressions" in algebra is not familiar to me, but it's been about 20 years since I took it in HS and College (though I work with algebra every day).

==== EDIT ===

Oh, OK -- thet would be -5, because it is -1 (the 1 is implied by the parenthesis) times each of the three elements inside: so -1 times +5 is -5.

Imagine that you had a conversation with someone and said, "I am not, not hungry." Because you used double negatives, the statement you made would actually mean that you were hungry. This can lead to confusion, and it definately makes the sentence more complex than it needs to be. As a result, the use of double negatives in speech is generally considered improper.

U mean this. postive + postive = postive, neg + neg = negtive, Postive + neg = the # with greater value(-3 IS GREATER THAN -5). neg * neg = postive, neg * postive = (grater value)

you are able to think of of "3 radical 40 8" and "3 radical 6" as numbers with coefficients: 5x, 12y, 4k, etc. fake the three is the coefficient, or the "x", and the "radical 40 8" and "radical 6" because of the fact the numbers. in simple terms divide the "radical 6" interior the "radical 40 8"! so, you may get: "3 radical 8" simplified extra: "6 radical 2" (because of the fact 8 is actual 4 expanded by 2, and four is an ideal sq.) desire i helped!
