I don't think you can kill fear welly. I don't think that would be a good idea if you could. Fear plays an important role in our lives when under control, not paralyzing or debilitating, but controlled.
I believe what your looking for is courage. Many great men have wrote of courage. I'll quote two.
A great part of courage is the courage of having done the thing before. - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
I believe what Mr. Emerson meant by that is, before you have done something you are apprehensive and dreadful of the unknown thing because you have never experienced it before.
Naturally you will be fearful because there may be many things that can "go wrong". Rarely they actually do, but the fear is there to make you careful. Once you have done the thing you realize there is nothing to fear about that particular thing.
Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear. Not absence of fear. - Mark (Samuel longhorn Clemens) Twain.
Mr. Twain touches on a very important point that any combat veteran can relate to very well. During the heat of battle, when things are happening very fast, and you may not be sure exactly where the greatest threat to your safety is coming from, you none the less have an objective. When you squad leader yells "MOVE OUT!" the fear you feel does not disappear, or leave you, or just go away. The fear is always with you. And that's a good thing because you are in a very dangerous environment.
But you resist that fear and move on to the objective.
I hope this helps you, If nothing else to clear up exactly what it is you should be seeking. Best of luck, Fight the good fight.
Your going to be fine in the long run. Best wishes!

Fear is the anxiety of not meeting/getting the expectation from life,
so if you are really sincere about getting rid of fear, make a small beginning with little things by removing the expectations, moving towards being choice less, not trying to remain passive, withdrawn.
Do what is needed in the situation, to the fullest extent, and nature will take over, to decide the fruits, results, of action.
Either way we do not have much control over the external situation, so try to have a good and fair control over the internal situation, by avoiding anxiety of " whether this will happen or not " ! Let what ever has to happen, take place, no problem within. And the choice of action is always there !

First of all, I agree with the responders who answered about having faith in Jesus -- whenever I find myself fearful I ask Him to strengthen me and the fear goes away (and this happens with pretty much everyone I know who is Christian).
But also understand that the more we learn, the more we know about the brain. Doctors now understand better than ever before how to treat anxiety problems, which is what this sounds like to me (but I'm no doctor). You may want to consult a doctor about taking an anti-anxiety medication -- personally I would reccomend a Christian doctor to help ensure they will be less prone to medicate when counselling would be a better plan, but that's me. At any rate do be very carefull, these medications have very bad interractions with alcohol, drugs, and even mild legal stimulants such as caffeine and licorice. If you use these at all, they can make your behaviour very erratic when they interract with the medicine.

very seriously, I am older and used to have so many fears....still don't fly and get in high places. Most were conquered by just getting up every morning and asking God, "please help me walk in your will today and anything I can't handle , I trust that you will take my burdens". Now, believe it or not, I live in the middle of nowhere way out in the country with no one close around.....I am not even slightly afraid of anything or anyone. Never did I dream 40 years ago i could live this peaceful of a life. (hope you don't take this as 'preaching' at you....only sharing a personal experience from someone who lived in fear of everything)

fear is the result of not having a satisfactory response and plan of action to execute when you are faced with a problem. it results from being unable to defend yourself when somebody attacks you physically or verbally. fear paralyzes your brain
take up boxing, marksmanship or a martial art to gain confidence. through those you will be able to start recognizing solutions to the things that you fear.
your attitude will change. you will change from a person who wishes difficulties would pass by or not come at all to a person who is willing to face any problem head on with the attitude that the problem can be conquered.

Your not alone in this. Simply take something like a rubberband or some such and place it on your wrist. Snap it when you get stressed and let that relax you, but don't abuse your wrist, lol. Also, tell yourself (allot) that your safe, no one wants to hurt you, especially in work where your expected to carry your share of the burden. So, when you feel "enclosed upon" just relax and remember its NOT PERSONAL, its just a job that needs to be done. When you get home you can fall apart, but not at work.
I have the feeling you suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or some such depression, try to get a doctor to give you something for it when you get insurance, but you will have to survive work until you can get it. Good luck.

Everyone on this planet has flaws and imperfections. I read once that Steven Speilberg throws up from fear of failure each time he starts a new movie project. If your problems seem overwhelming, you might want to consider some professional help. Getting stoned or drunk only makes things worse.

take your fear and give it to Jesus and everyday qoute and BELIEVE what God's word says in 2ND Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
