It's a problem of standing. Unless the oil company violated some contractual agreement or statute, the suit would have to be brought as a tort action probably on negligence or nuisance grounds.

And that would require the plaintiffs to show that they personally suffered some significant harm.

As TimothyD. L. stated, that has been removed from such fuel products since the 1970s. It is this lack of uninformed assertion which has kept the building and/or expanding of refineries in the last nearly 30 years. Since there is plenty of crude oil in the ground, it is the lack of refining capacity due to poorly founded court cases which is the major cause of increased fuel pricing.

That lead is added by producers. Silly person! Hey haven't used that lead braced product since the 1970s. Where you been? Under a rock?

Oil companies think they are as high as Gods, they will most likely not show up for a court date and ignore the whole issue with Bush backing them up.

They could even get a way with murder...LITERALLY
