25. “At This Moment” Billy Vera & The Beaters
”I'd fall down on my knees/Kiss the ground that you walk on, baby/If I could just hold you again”
Although this song will always be initially recognized as the “Family Ties” love theme during the Alex/Ellen relationship, Vera's soulful ballad will strike a resonant chord even in those who are not 80's TV junkies. The sax sounds like it's crying, the guitar sounds like it's crying., Vera is wailing away to the point where he says he'll lop twenty years off of his life if his woman comes back. Yet another excellent blue-eyed soul ballad.

At This Moment by Billy Vera and the Beaters. It looks like I am correct. I just looked at some of the answers and they all say the same thing.

At This Moment - Billy Vera & The Beaters
What did you think
I would do at this moment
When you're standing before me
With tears in your eyes
Trying to tell me
that you have found you another
and you just don't love me no more
What did you think
I would say at this moment
When I'm faced with the knowledge
That you just don't love me
Did you think I would curse you
Or say things to hurt you
'cause you just don't love me no more
Did you think
I could hate you
Or raise my hands to you
Now come on you know me too well
How could I hurt you
when darling I love you
and you know
I'd never hurt you-oo-wo-oo...
What do you think
I would give at this moment
If you'd stay
I'd subtract twenty years from my life
I'd fall down on my knees
and kiss the ground that you walk on
If I could just hold you again
I'd fall down on my knees
and kiss the ground that you walk on baby
If I could just hold you
If I, could just hold you
If I could just hold-hold you, again

At This Moment
Billy Vera and the Beaters
What did you think
I would at this moment?
When you're standing before me
With tears in your eyes?
Trying to tell me that you -
You found you another,
And you just don't love me no more.
What did you think
I would say at this moment?
When I'm faced with the knowledge
That you just don't love me?
Did you think I would curse you
Or say things to hurt you
'Cause you just don't love me no more?
Did you think I could hate you,
Or raise my hands to you?
Now, come on you know me too well.
How I could I hurt you,
When, darlin', I love you?
And you know, I could never hurt you, ooh, ohh, ooh.
What did you think
I would give at this moment?
If you'd stay I'd subtract
Twenty years from my life.
I'd fall down on my knees,
Kiss the ground that you walk on
If I could just hold you again.
I'd fall down on my knees
Kiss the ground that you walk on, baby
If I could just hold you -
If I could just hold you -
If I, if I could just hold you
Again.
