Can you explain this problem to me????

A plane travels on a heading of r.o for a distance of 3.00x10^2 km. How far north and how far east does the plane travel????

Draw out an arrow on a piece of paper representing the heading and the speed.

Now look at the two lines you would have to draw if you travelled the same distance but you wnet north first and then mad a 90 degree turn and went east.

You have just drawn a triangle. You know all the angles and one side distance.

Solve for the triangle. The length of the 2 unkown sides are your answers.
