I have never cleaned an oven. If you protect it so that it doesn't become dirty, then there is little reason to clean it.

As others have said, the more that you use your oven, the more often it will need cleaning. I'm bad about spilling things on the bottom of the oven, so I put a piece of aluminum foil on the bottom of the oven. If something spills, I can just replace the foil.

Not often. Actually it depends on how often it is used and in our house, who uses it (some of us are more casual about spills & splatters left behind). Most of the time, my oven would not pass the white glove test. I wipe mine periodically but if I notice a spill inside or can't stand the grungy look of it, I'll put on a pair of rubber gloves, pull out the racks, get out the cleanser, sos pads & clean it. I clean the racks downstairs in the laundry tub.

Ummm... When it get's dirty. Does your oven have a no scrub self clean feature? If not... sorry but it's the old elbow greese, brillo and oven cleaner fumes for you! That steam bullet thingy does work well though!
Gross!
Do you realize that you're smoking your food in the burned bits of meals gone by? If they have fats or sugars in them, they will go bad sitting in there before they char. Gross!

Depends on how much it's used and whether you have spills or not. If it appears dirty, get a can of easy off over cleaner and follow the directions. It's very easy. And, it's really easy if you have a self cleaning over. All you do is turn it on and whapo.......in an hour it's clean.................

As soon as the oven walls start to give off enough smoke to trigger the smoke alarm while you are baking.
