You can clear history in options but if you only want to delete the single item just right click on it in the history list and select delete.

Wherever it is (Fav's, prob) click on it (to hi-lite the link) & then right click. A dropdown menu will appear - choose Delete.

Clear the IE History [Tools >> Internet Options]. If you have Toolbars, be certain you remove the URL history from them, too.

Run Disk Clanup - Start >> Accessories >> System Tools. Check all D C options.

Run Ad-Aware. Choose "Full System Scan". Oh, make sure you "_Check for Updates_" first.

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.
you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.
