I just finished The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. It was good but had a lackluster ending.
Now I am reading Shop Girl by Steve Martin which I bought a while ago and never got around to reading. It's pretty good so far.

The late Gordon Parks memoirs, "The Hungry Heart". Very vivid and interesting; I have read his books in the past (The Learning Tree, A Choice of Weapons) and have been very interested in his books; I even seen the movie, "The Learning Tree"; This man lived on the earth over 90 plus years and has a great story for us all. Please check it out.

The Know by Martina Cole. All her books are really good and grip you from the very beginning. I have had this book since Xmas though and have only just started to read it as i knew once i started i wouldn't put it down and my family would have to fend for themselves for a few days.

Ben Eltons - The First Casualty: Gripping read following the fortunes of the lead character Kingsley. Set amidst the bloody carnage of daily slaughter, that was the first world war. It's a gut-wrenching historical drama which explores some fundamental questions like, what is murder? what is justice? in the face of adversity. A truly recommended read!

On Creativity David Bhom, Its OK but its philosophy and needless to say probably not for everyone. The forward was horrendous but the rest provokes thought.

I have a tendency to read something that will be good for me followed by a good novel after. Its a bit like the diet and treat syndrome.

It also stops you being a complete bore (I hope)

I've just finished reading 'Seven Ancient Wonders' by Matthew Reilly and I loved it. At times, it was a bit rushed and the story jumps time frames but all in all, it was amazing because I love Ancient Egypt and there was a hint of that in it.

I'm reading 'Talk of The Town' by Ardal O'Hanlon (Dougal from 'Father Ted') at the moment - it's full of swear words and I've no idea where the story is going but the writing is hilarious in placed - don't think I'd reccommend it, though.

Running With Scissors By:Augusten Buroughs
Is good for gals and guys. Its a memoir about boy whos mother is a little crazy, and sends his to live with her unorthadox psychiastrist. Its just about him living in some of the most bizzar circumstances.

If you bother to read the book you will want me as your best answer :)
